The Millstone Avalanche U-14 Girls travel team is currently competing in their second season in the Monmouth-Ocean Soccer Association. Over the summer the team added several new players with prior travel soccer experience and are looking forward to improving their overall record for the fall season. The girls have been consistently improving their skills while playing a competitive level of soccer. The coaching staff believes the only way to improve each individual player’s skill level is by providing that player with the maximum number of touches of the ball both during the game and in practice sessions. As part of a well-rounded soccer experience, both professional trainers and guest coaches have participated in team practice sessions. The team plans on training indoors during the upcoming winter season. The players and their families enjoyed a beach soccer event and picnic at Avon-by-the-sea this past August and the girls are looking forward to an end-of-season party to celebrate a successful second season.
