M.U.T.S. meeting: Thursday, September 10, 2009
Members present: T.
Littlefield, T. Murphy, R. Regina, B. Walkley, J. Whitney. Team reps: N. Robinson, Ken Simels, Rich Greenberg.
Call to order @ 8:15 p.m.
by B. Walkley (President).
- Review
of financials by J. Whitney; reviewed major expenditures of club: gym
rental, field lining.
- Fundraising
(R. Regina): sale of mums; N.
Robinson will look at $/location for the purchase/sale of mums.
- Field
# 4 has sustained damage at the goal mouth; request for ‘Rodrigo’, our club trainer –
to practice on another field.
- Quality
of fields with line markings; recent heavy rains have played a factor in
the quality of the fields.
- Reviewed
keeper training with Rodrigo; discussed breakdown with age groups &
times with T. Littlefield.
- Discussed
Speed & Agility training for the club @ some point this Spring.
- Advertising: logos on team uniforms; potential
conflict with MOSA bylaws? Placards & billboards at Brandywine?
- Signage
(Boy scouts): to be located for
easy view upon arriving @ complex; also, a small board that would map out
complex with #’s of nets/fields.
- Upcoming
board assignments & club elections; presently no MOSA rep. Walkley
(President) reiterated the need for members to step up to positions (i.e.
Club president).
- Ref
assignment; (T. Littlefield) discussed regulations regarding the fact that
we cannot choose a particular ref for your teams
game; they need to be assigned.
- In
closing, all members collectively agreed that all teams should be equally
represented; the need to have a rep from every team, be it a coach or
parent.
