M.U.T.S.  minutes:  Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Members present:  Tracy Littlefield, Sharon Keefe, Rocco Regina, John Shaffer, Bryan Walkley.  Late arrivals:  Tom Murphy & Jim Whitney.

Call to order by Club president:  B. Walkley 8:05 p.m.

Field set up: for the Spring season (2010).  Discussed general condition of fields after a winter with heavy snowfall.  Reviewed  ‘pulling pins’ on 3/16 so that  JLo would be able to line the fields; concern was voiced due to a forecast of heavy rains for this weekend.  The first game will be scheduled on Sunday, 3/21 (field #7).  Also discussed closing down one of the full sided fields for the Spring season (either #3 or #4); or closing down #4 for half of the season, & then closing down #3 for the other half…  Concerns to be discussed with field manager – C. Cutler.

Goalkeeper training:    Rodrigo will perform the keeper training for the Spring, 2010 season.  Training will take place on 3/20, 3/21, & 3/27.  Times will be set up by T. Littlefield in accordance to age groups…

Try-outs:  Saturday May 8 @ 12 noon (Spring instructional soccer will take place in the a.m.) & again on Saturday, May 22.  An effort will be made to advertise try-outs & openings for the club via the local cable channel (Ch. 77 on Cablevision, as well as soccer blog sites on the internet.)

Financials:  Review of gym time billing for hrs. utilized by club during the off season; accounted for cancelled hrs. due to school closings & cancellations because of various events @ school.  J. Whitney reviewed dues owed by various teams for the Spring, 2010 season.

Fundraising:   Rollerskating event that was previously scheduled in February will be cancelled & not made up.  Fundraising  reps (Keefe & Regina) discussed flowers on Mothers day (review of how many home games for that day & what types of flowers to sell) as well as a Pancake breakfast at some point in the future.

Uniforms:  The club previously discussed the fact that Diadora was phasing out our line of uniforms & that we needed to discuss going with a new design/line for the Fall, 2010 season.  Effingers would be able to arrange for a vendor to come to one of our meetings & present various uniforms & costs…
